Kim earned her PhD in Communication Science at the University of Amsterdam and has published several scientific studies in the field of brand strategy. During her work as a branding and organizational culture specialist at BR-ND l Emotive Transformers (co-founder and co-owner), she developed 23plusone, a scientific method focussed on universal emotional drives. A method which can be a language to talk about the things that really matter. Which, in the end, makes people happier and the creative concepts we develop more attractive to ourselves and others.
During our entire life, through our upbringing, school, higher education, parenting and working, we learn how to use our ratio in the best way. Rational thinking leads to effective planning, a successful career, earning money, understanding the world around us and securing our position within it. But often we, at some point in life, discober that our ration has led us to a distant place. Distant from ourselves, from how we feel, who we really are. When we accept and embrace the fact that, as human beings, we are emotional creatures - something we tend to forget - lif in all its facets bekomes much easier, and the concepts we create become much more attractive.
However, it's sometimes hard to understand your own feelings, let alone someone else's. In this speech (and the workshop) I'll present a method focussed on universal emotional drives. A method whch can be a language to talk about the things that really matter. Which, in the end, makes people happier and the creative concepts we develop more attractive to ourselves and others.
