In their presentation, they will talk about their design approach to user experience and the interplay between technology and design, as well as giving an insight into some of the projects they have realized.
Since completing their studies at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts and a joint studio scholarship in New York, Ivan Weiss and Michael Kryenbühl have been working as freelance graphic designers under the name Johnson / Kingston in Lucerne and Bern. They explore experimental forms of design in commissioned work, independent projects and in their teaching activities. Their projects often operate at the interface between design and technology, focusing on the repurposing and productive exploration of new tools and their influence on the design process and the end product. From 2017 to 2023, they were full professors at the Karlsruhe University of Arts and Design in the field of communication design - design of digital and networked media. Today they teach at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts, among others.
